Taiwan soft touch AMOLED industry chain attack wear business opportunities

Keep in Touch”. .


Exhibits such as AMOLED with folding and touch, interactive touch display device with curved surface, smart glasses with camera and gestures in the air, and materials, panels, processes, etc. The 30 latest display and touch technologies will outline the smart life that is more in line with human intuitive control.


According to Cheng Zhanglin, director of the Display Center of the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute, the wearable device is light, thin, and plastic, and the ultra-thin and curved characteristics of AMOLED are particularly suitable for wearable applications.


In order to actively establish Taiwan's independent soft touch AMOLED industry chain, and to enter the global market niche for Taiwanese companies, we will develop a foldable active organic integrated touch sensing sensor that can be folded 10,000 times in a bending radius of 7.5mm. The luminescence display (AMOLED) module has a thickness of less than 0.1 mm. The module is based on the "Multipurpose Flexible Electronic Substrate Technology" (FlexUPTM), which makes the screen water-resistant, ultra-light, and bendable. Four characteristics, such as not easy to break, the future can bring a variety of forms of development for mobile devices.


According to the analysis of the IEI of the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute, the global touch market revenue reached US$31.4 billion in 2013, and will reach US$4.7 billion in 2017. The compound growth rate is 12.5% from 2013 to 2017. The global touch industry has been in recent years. From the beginning of the booming development, from smart handheld devices to various peripheral devices, more and more touch panels and related application interfaces exist everywhere.
