It is reported that Chongqing Huike Jinyi Optoelectronics is actively expanding its production capacity. On April 18, it announced that it will build a 8.6-generation liquid crystal display fab in Sichuan Province, western China, and an 11-generation liquid crystal display plant in Zhengzhou, central China.
Huge investment Huik Electronics actively enhances LCD panel production capacity
Huike Electronics has signed a transaction agreement with the local government of Mianyang, Sichuan, and will invest nearly RMB 24 billion (US$3.83 billion) to build a 8.6-generation liquid crystal display fab. At the same time, the new 11-generation LCD display factory in Zhengzhou will cost 40 billion yuan.
The company started commercial production at its first 8.6-generation LCD display factory in Chongqing in March 2017. It is currently building a second 8.6-generation production line in Ganzhou, eastern China, and is expected to achieve mass production in the first quarter of 2019.
According to related news, the construction of the third 8.6-generation factory of Weike Electronics will start in the second quarter of 2018 and plans to put into commercial production in the third quarter of 2019.
In addition, the plant in Mianyang will launch small- and medium-sized IPS panels for mobile phones, wearable devices, and automotive applications, as well as large-sized application panels for TVs and displays.
