LCD screen customization requires LCD

lcd with high contrast--第一张图

  1. Consider what useful information is needed to display on a custom LCD and the combination of alphanumeric and custom icons necessary to customize the LCD.

2. Understand the environment in which the LCD needs to work. Operating voltage and temperature can greatly affect the contrast of the LCD and may limit the types of LCDs that can be used.

3. Determine the number of segments necessary to achieve the desired display on the LCD, and select the appropriate LCDPIC microcontroller with reference to the PIC microcontroller LCD matrix.

4. Generate sketch/mechanical drawings and written instructions for custom LCDs and understand the pinout of the LCD.

(Because there is a limitation that the wiring of the common electrode and the wiring of the segment electrode are not in one plane, it is preferable to perform the pin placement by the display manufacturer.)

    5. Send the proposed LCD sketches and instructions to at least 3 suppliers for written quotations to determine pricing, schedule, and quality. Take into account the total NRE cost, unit price, and installation fee. Allow at least two weeks to complete the formal mechanical drawings and pin assignments, as well as the revised drawings.

6. The initial prototype LCD component is requested to be delivered to ensure proper LCD development and proper functionality in the target application.

Usually set aside 4 to 6 weeks. For final approval of mechanical drawings and pin assignments. The initial LCD prototype is delivered after approval.

7. When you receive the prototype LCD, you must confirm its function before you can make the final approval and start producing LCD.

Note: Keep a copy of all the materials exchanged between the parties (such as initial sketches, drawings, and pin layout schemes) to ensure a well-maintained record.
