Recently, Wits View, the research organization, released the global LCD TV market share rankings: In the first quarter of 2015, the world’s top 10 LCD TVs shipped a total of 51.4 million units. Among them, the share of Samsung and LG is 20% and 15% respectively, leading the world in the world's first and second status. The ranking of domestic manufacturers began to rise, TCL entered the top three in the world, and Hisense ranked fourth. At the same time, Japanese manufacturers fell in ranking, and Sony Electronics, ranked third in the last quarter, fell to the fifth place in the world.
From the data point of view, Samsung and LG formed a strong first camp and continued to lead the world. Chinese and Japanese companies staged a ranking reversal, TCL replaced Sony to become the third in the world, and Sony fell to fifth place in two rankings. Domestic manufacturers surpassed Sony to verify the decline of Japanese brands. Japanese companies such as Panasonic and Toshiba have been able to withdraw from the Chinese market to see the clues. The situation in the TV industry in Japan, South Korea, and the “three countries” has become a thing of the past. People in the industry believe that the “runaway” of Japanese companies will leave a huge space, and sharing the market share of Japanese companies will become the direct trigger for the “China-Korea War”.
China is the main battlefield where the television companies of the two countries confront each other. At the sales level, Korean-based companies with strong technical strength regard high-end fields as the focus of their efforts, while product coverage covers the mid-range. Taking Samsung as an example, today's SUHD TV series, which has challenged the limits of the product, has reached the market with a maximum price of 80,000 yuan. Last year, UHD TVs, which belong to the same high-end category, fully covered the mid-range market. It is worth mentioning that this year, Samsung and JD.com and other e-commerce companies launched flagship model booking activities, which shows that Samsung is actively deploying channels.
Domestic manufacturers, in addition to the introduction of price wars "Internet TV", the target population is also targeting high-end. It is reported that manufacturers such as TCL and Hisense have successively released curved-surface televisions this year. It can be seen that the high-end market will be the main battlefield for the fierce fighting between Chinese and Korean companies.
In addition, China's local color TV manufacturers are stepping up to occupy the international market. China and South Korea color TV brands will also compete fiercely in the international market outside China.
