Innolux And Hanyu Caijing Collective Sales Decline In September

Due to the decline in shipments, in September 2018, sales of Taiwanese tablet makers Innolux and Haoyu Caixian all declined.

 

Innolux's revenue in September was NT$24.4 billion (US$788.22 million), which was the same as last month, but it was down 9.5% year-on-year. Among them, large-size panel shipments were 11.03 million units, down 0.2% from the previous month; small and medium-sized panel shipments reached 22.36 million units, down 9.9% from the previous month.

 

Innolux’s third-quarter revenue was NT$73.9 billion, up 11.2% from the previous quarter but down 7% year-on-year. In the third quarter, total shipments of large-size panels increased by 3.5% from the previous quarter to 33.12 million units, and shipments of small and medium-sized panels increased by 9.3% to 74.6 million units.

 

At the same time, Hanyu Caijing's revenue in September fell 13.1% from the previous month, down 45.9% year-on-year to NT$1,153 million, of which small panel shipments fell 3.2% from the previous month to 34.43 million. However, shipments of display panels and private label large-size products increased by 19.2% year-on-year to 176,000 units in September. Revenue in the third quarter reached NT$4,102 million, down 38.39% year-on-year.
