Japanese media daily Industrial News reported on the 16th that JOLED plans to mass-produce flexible OLED panel products using resin substrates and bendable processing. The report pointed out that the current soft OLED panels are dominated by Samsung, LG and other Korean factories, mainly providing panel products for smart phones and smart watches, while JOLED will be developed for use in car displays, notebooks, tablets, etc. The 10-30-inch product is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016 and will be mass-produced around 2020.
According to the report, the current OLED panel is mainly based on glass substrates, and JOLED will initially focus on the development of OLED panels using glass substrates. It is expected that shipments will be carried out in 2019.
According to reports, JOLED will set up a trial production line for OLED panels in Kawasaki-cho, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, to develop a mass production technology called "printing" that can produce OLED panels at low cost.
