LG Display (LGD) will supply HP with 17-inch foldable OLED panels for laptops this year. According to The Elec, this will be The second time LG Display has supplied foldable OLED panels for laptops. LG Display supplied Lenovo with its first foldable laptop OLED panel in 2020 for the ThinkPad X1 Fold.
LG Display is providing HP with panels that measure 17 inches in size, 11 inches when folded, and 4K resolution (3840x2160). LG Display plans to start mass production of the panels in the third quarter and expects to produce as many as 10,000 panels.
LG Display unveiled a 17-inch foldable panel at CES earlier this year. LG Display said at the time that the new panel supported touch and stylus and was aimed at laptops, tablets and monitors.
