In March and April, Yacheng's revenue kept steady at more than 10 billion yuan (New Taiwan dollars, the same below). The cumulative consolidated revenue from January to April this year was 35.875 billion yuan, an increase of 8.2% over the same period last year. Moreover, the legal person points out that Yecheng provides a one-stop service from backlight module, panel module to touch module fitting for iPad Pro, and the shipment price is relatively high. With the pullback effect of the new iPad Pro, Yecheng's revenue in the second quarter will grow by double digit, and the single quarter's revenue will reach RMB 30 billion again.
Looking ahead to the second quarter, Yishen said it expects second-quarter revenue to be better than the first quarter, driven by the continuing residential economy, strong demand for tablets and laptops, and new product launches from customers.
Yecheng is one of Apple's main suppliers of touch panels. Although it lost orders for smartphone touch panels last year due to the full adoption of OLED panels in Apple's iPhone, thanks to Apple's removal from the supply chain, iPad orders returned to Yecheng and Chenhong, which supported the revenue performance.
On the other hand, Yecheng has been actively focusing on the laptop panel module business in recent years. Last year, the volume of MacBook panel was enlarged, and due to the high price of the panel, the contribution of laptop panel-related revenue grew substantially. It broke into Apple's top 200 suppliers for the first time, driven by growth in businesses related to the iPad and MacBook.
