The development level of Guangdong's manufacturing industry ranks among the top in China and is generally in the stage of leaping from the third array to the second array of global manufacturing industry, but there is still a lot of gap compared with the world's advanced level. The innovation capacity of the manufacturing industry does not match the size of the industry. There are obvious weak links in the innovation chain, industrial chain and supply chain. Electronic information is a "single industry", and the supply of high-end manufacturing industry is insufficient. The allocation efficiency of resource elements needs to be improved, the overall level of platform carrier is not high, some industrial areas in the Pearl River Delta region are mixed with residential areas, industrial land is gradually eroded, and the basic supporting facilities of industrial parks in the coastal economic belt on the east and west wings and the northern ecological development zone are backward. The supporting role of manufacturing development in Guangdong province for major national needs, major strategic deployment of technological breakthroughs, industrial development and other projects needs to be further strengthened.
