Asus has unveiled its ROG Swift line of gaming monitors at CES 2022, available in either 48-inch (PG48UQ) or 42-inch (PG42UQ) sizes. 42 inches may be the innovation of 2022. LG also unveiled a 42-inch C2 OLED display this week, but Asustek says it is the first to incorporate a similar size into its products.
The PG42UQ, like the 48-inch model, has a 4K (3840 x 2160) display, unique megatron-to-1 contrast ratio with OLED materials, 0.1ms response time, 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color and 98% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and HDR10 support.
In terms of ports, both sizes include two HDMI 2.1 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort jack, audio input, and a USB hub.
Asustek says its display is anti-glare and covered with a microtextured coating to ensure users see the best color accuracy. These displays also support variable refresh rates and automatic low-latency modes,
Asus hasn't announced a specific release date or price for these displays, but an OLED of this size... Don't expect prices to come cheap.
