In the latest DSCC Quarterly OLED Shipment Report (Quarterly OLED Panel Shipment Report), it is estimated that THE OLED panel revenue will reach 63 billion US dollars in 2026 at a compound annual growth rate of 8%. The biggest contribution comes from IT application panels such as laptops, monitors and tablets. Mobile OLED panel revenue grew at a 6 percent cagR, while OLED TV panel revenue grew at a 9 percent CAGR.
For Notebook OLED panels, DSCC revised its shipments up to 31 percent cagR from 26 percent in a recent update, while revenue is expected to grow at 28 percent CAGR. DSCC expects Notebook OLED panel prices to drop further with the introduction of the G8.5 rigid OLED production line, unleasing more demand.
For OLED screens for display devices, DSCC expects shipments to grow at a cagR of about 95 percent from 2021 to 2026, while revenue will grow at a CAGR of 45 percent.
For OLED screens for tablets, DSCC lowered its shipment forecast. Panel manufacturers will prioritize rigid OLED panel capacity for notebook and display production. In its latest report, DSCC downgraded shipments of OLED panels for tablets in 2021-2022. The main reason is the Samsung S8's delay. DSCC doesn't expect Apple to bring OLED screens to the IPAD until 2024. In 2021-2026, DSCC expects the cagR of OLED notebook screen shipments and revenues to be around 49% and 46% respectively.
During 2023-2026, the production of rigid panels in OLED mobile phone panels will decrease, and the production capacity will be shifted to IT application panels. In 2023, DSCC expects 70 percent of OLED mobile panel revenue to come from flexible OLED panels, 16 percent from rigid OLED panels, and 13 percent from foldable mobile panels.
For OLED TV panel procurement, OLED TV and QD OLED TV panel shipments will reach 15.1 million units in 2026, with revenue of $6.4 billion. Qd-oled TV shipments and revenue in 2021-2026 accounted for about 8% and 12%.
