On December 21, BOE officially released the first technology brand in the field of semiconductor display in China. Boe unveiled the brand system and logo of the three technologies representing the industry's leading high-end LIQUID crystal display technology ADS Pro, high-end flexible display technology F-OLED and high-end glass-based new LED display technology α-MLED. It is not only an important milestone in the development of the industry, but also creates a new era of "technology + brand" dual value drive. Yu Zhitao, vice president of Hisense Group Holding Company, was invited to attend this conference and make a speech as a customer representative. The following is a transcript of the speech:
Distinguished Chairman Chen, Academician Ouyang, Professor Zhang, Dean Cao, President Liu and President Gao, good afternoon. Standing here I feel very moved and excited. Touching lies in the fact that the host just said that today is a family gathering, like family reunion in the winter solstice day, to be honest, every time I go on a business trip to Jingdong, I really feel like going home, I can see old friends and new products. The excitement lies in the fact that Academician Ouyang said that he has been studying liquid crystal technology for more than 30 years and witnessed boe's transformation from zero to world no.1 in 28 years. This is the real process of industrialization that every Chinese technical staff with feelings has seen. It is very exciting to truly feel Academician Ouyang's feelings.
I have been in the display industry for a short time, but boe has given us unlimited support in the past. Here I would like to use four words to represent my mood and the cooperative relationship between Hisense and BOE. These four words are resonance, win-win, consensus and co-creation.
As we all know, display technology has now come to an era of upgrading and business innovation. We believe that changes in the application of display technology will affect every enterprise. We are very happy to see that boe has realized the world's no.1 industry reality under the efforts of generations of technicians and the technology dream of serving the country by industry. They have realized the reserve of technology, brand and talents for the future development of the industry. The arrival of the Internet of Things will make a qualitative leap in the application of display technology, so Kevin Kelly said, people will be screen people, screen will fill every part of our life, screen will be part of our life and body.
In the face of such industrial upgrading, Hisense display sector will start to readjust its global strategic positioning in 2020, aiming to become the world's first-class display products and display system service provider. We put display everywhere, connectivity everywhere and service everywhere on the core strategy of our relevant industrial upgrading.
Combined with today's chairman and President liu Chen technology upgrade brand strategy, we in the face of future technology upgrading and industrial upgrading of cognitive and planning, in the corresponding product technical reserves are highly consistent, apparently two enterprise strategic upgrade, are on display technology being redefined in order to develop the application of scene, so to speak the first word is resonance.
Standing here looking back on the past, I would like to say the second word is: win-win. Hisense shows that the continuous growth of the industry is inseparable from the strong support of BOE in all stages. BOE has fully interacted with Hisense in the technological progress, production line upgrading and technological upgrading at all stages, achieving and developing each other.
I am proud to tell you that BOE is now our largest supplier. Besides, the quality of BOE's products is the best in our production line, and the failure rate on line is the lowest. After several years of development and technological progress, from the point of view of our end users, THE picture quality and experience of BOE products are the best. When ouyang teacher speak, with 28 years from zero to the world for the first time, my heart really very excited, because we don't know, in such a fierce competition in the market, what do we win by consumer's perception of our products, we rely on our quality, rely on our quality, rely on our good user experience, to obtain recognition of the consumers. I am also very grateful to BOE for its help to Hisense in the past two years. Due to the epidemic, the supply chain was extremely tight. BOE has given us unlimited support from top to bottom.
I think the most proud of is, in the past two years, the two sides of the technical team to overcome the difficulties, developed to meet the CCTV the most stringent technical requirements and specifications of the monitor products, this is our national pride of the whole Chinese display industry, is the pride of our whole team on both sides, is to indicate the pride of the technical team, is the pride of hisense technical team. I suggest that we give our warmest applause to our two teams, to our technical team of BOE.
Third word: consensus. General Manager Liu said that at any time, about 7% of BOE's revenue is invested in RESEARCH and development. At any time, BOE will invest enough money in new technology and new product innovation. The same is true of Hisense. We share the same concept of driving industrial progress with technology, our desire and respect for talents, and our mission of leading national industry forward with continuous r&d investment and the spirit of trial and error. It is under such consensus that both sides have division of labor and cooperation in the layout of industrial upgrading. Of course, there are also small local competitions, but neither of them is hindered by the consensus of both sides on industrial investment and development under the background of major technological and industrial upgrading. Therefore, I believe that in view of the resonance and win-win situation in the past and the current consensus of our understanding of the enterprise, we firmly believe that greater co-creation and win-win situation will be ushered in the future.
We are also proud to say that next year hisense and BOE will cooperate with more than 10 million pieces of materials, and the single supplier will purchase more than 10 billion pieces, which is our largest supplier. This is due to BOE's technological innovation and continuous iteration of products, as well as hisense's vertical integration and development in the display field. Therefore, we firmly believe that under the consensus of the leaders of both sides and the joint efforts of the technical teams of both sides, China's display industry will certainly walk in the forefront of the world. We also firmly believe that the cooperation between Hisense and BOE will become the world's first-class multi-scene system solution provider.
