The project is invested and constructed by Hongyang Display Technology Co., LTD., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rainbow Display Devices Co., LTD., with a planned total investment of 20 billion yuan, 20 G8.5+ substrate glass kilns and 10 cold-end production lines will be built. Among them, the total investment of the first phase of the project is 9.1 billion yuan, the construction of 8 hot end kilns and 4 cold end production lines, reaching an annual output of 5.82 million pieces of substrate glass, and creating 1,580 new jobs.
The project was lit and put into production, which completed the whole industrial chain layout from quartz sand to TV machine, further improved the electronic display industry chain in Xianyang City, formed a new pattern of "panel + substrate" dual leaders, and played a very important role in promoting the development of electronic display industry in Xianyang and even Shaanxi Province and the whole country. According to statistics, the first three quarters of 2023, Xianyang electronic display industry to achieve output value of 21.77 billion yuan, an increase of 18.4%, is expected to achieve output value of 50 billion yuan in 2025, 2030 output value will exceed 100 billion yuan.
It is understood that in 2014, the National Engineering Research Center of flat panel display glass process technology was established in Xianyang City, and after 9 years of development and construction, it has become a national innovation platform covering the whole chain of innovation links such as products, processes, equipment, materials, engineering and application. A number of research results have filled the gap in the industrialization of core basic materials such as high-aluminum cover glass, G7.5 and G8.5 substrate glass by overflow method in China.
In the next step, Xianyang City will rely on Qin Chuangyuan scientific and technological achievements transformation pilot zone, build a collaborative innovation platform for industry, university and research, support Rainbow Shares, Rainbow Optoelectronics and other enterprises and Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Xi 'an Electronic Science and Technology University and other research institutes to jointly innovate, deepen cooperation with China Development Bank Shaanxi Branch and other financial institutions, and build a good national engineering research center for flat panel display glass technology. Focus on the development of special glass such as substrate glass, cover glass and borosilicate glass, build Xianyang high-tech glass Valley, promote the deep integration of innovation chain, industrial chain, talent chain and capital chain, promote more innovation achievements into new quality productivity, and strive to create western China Screen Valley.
