The market for OLED materials used in mobile and TV products is expected to reach $1.74 billion in 2021 and $2.29 billion in 2025, according to data from UBI Research, according to foreign media reports.
UBI Research's estimate does not include OLED materials used in tablets and laptops, foreign media reported. OLED materials mainly include two parts: light-emitting materials and basic materials.
In April, market research firm Omdia reported that the OLED materials market will grow by 40% to $1.754 billion in 2021, well above the 16% growth in 2020, due to increased OLED adoption in smartphones, TVS and PCS, and QLED production.
Samsung Display is known to be one of the world's largest OLED panel suppliers and a big buyer of OLED materials. Lg Display is also a manufacturer and supplier of OLED and flexible displays, dominates the global market for large OLED TV screens and is a buyer of OLED materials.
